Picked up two of these for $200 each. There’s some settings you have to adjust to get faster response time, OC the refresh rate, set the color, but if you’re savvy enough then its nice. The gamma does run pretty low. Both monitors had backlight bleed through in similar places, though one was a bit worse than the other. Nothing extreme but its definitely noticeable when the screen goes black.
I saw some confusion regarding this: the monitor comes with standoffs to make it compatible with VESA mounts.

Has great picture quality and looks great next to my other 1440p monitor. The monitors menu is decent, but the button placement is on the back which makes it hard to reach with a second monitor next to it.

I love this for the price. Crisp, sharp image. The color accuracy is great and colors are very vibrant. I recommend keeping contrast at 100 and brightness to 50 or lower if you’re concerned about ips glow, I think alot of people confuse it for backlight bleed. My best advice is to make sure the center of the screen is aligned with your eyes while sitting straight upwards. This helps to aid the ips glow especially in dark scenes, you’re still going to notice it but that’s what you get with ips panels. The best part about ips though is 0 ghosting which is my biggest concern. Great monitor for the price. If you play on console the system will upscale to 4k at 60hz. Only issue for me is that you can’t use hdr with 2k 120hz at least on my series x. Still waiting to get my pc so we’ll see how it preforms with dp 1.4. I might make an update on that if there’s issues with the hdr, but I prefer not to use hdr with pc anyway.

It’s an OK monitor. It could be a great monitor if it didn’t stick out away from the wall so far. This monitor stands out from the wall a good six inches, nothing like having your monitor right in your face.
There are also no color or brightness adjustments, so you’re stuck with what you get. there are different settings that you can use for picture quality for movies, gaming, and such, but that’s it.
It does have good picture quality that I’m pleased with. if it weren’t for that I would have returned it and got something else. I do like the picture enough that I did buy another aftermarket base/stand for it to fit on my desk better.
Would I buy it again? No, knowing what I know now.
Edit: I found the color and brightness adjustments after turning off “HDR”. So things are looking up. It’s very cheap of MSI to not providing a users guide for the adjustments. I still wouldn’t buy it again.

This Sceptre 27-inch QHD monitor delivers genuinely great performance, especially noticeable in its smooth visuals and quick response times. I’ve experienced no screen tearing or distracting pixelation during use, which translates to a consistently clear and fluid viewing experience whether I’m gaming or working. The fast response ensures that on-screen motion is crisp and handled well, a significant plus for any fast-paced content.
For those looking to get the best picture quality, I’d offer a tip: I found it preferable to avoid using the HDR setting and instead manually adjust the brightness and contrast to my liking. This approach yielded a much more balanced and satisfying image. Once tuned, the clarity and responsiveness this monitor offers are excellent, making it a solid choice for users seeking sharp QHD visuals and a tear-free, responsive experience without breaking the bank.
On another note, monitor also doesn’t have speakers in it.
