These units look great. The solid strip of lighting looks so much better than previous Vengance or competing brands. While you have to use iCue to control the lighting, you can do so at the “hardware” level, thus you don’t need to be actively running iCue all the time just to have lighting on these sticks. 32GB of memory is the new 16. Games that previously would only fill up 12GB of RAM are now hitting 16-17GB with no other changes. For me at least, that makes 32GB worth it over 16GB, while 64GB is overkill from a pure gaming viewpoint.
Remember, for gaming at high settings, almost any dual-channel RAM kit will do fine provided you add enough. That said, I’m pretty sure these are dual-rank, so they should have similar performance to faster latency single-rank sticks. Additionally, I was able to overclock these to 3800 without issue and performance seemed stable. There’s probably more headroom for tweaking although again, it doesn’t really matter much for GPU-bound games.

Didn’t see many of this model left so I’m assuming it’s been discontinued. While there were still some left, I had to snag another kit to match the set I had been sent years ago to review from elsewhere. Ran some benchmarks and, unsurprisingly, same solid 3600mhz performance as the other kit. Perfectly adequate and quite nice looking

For the most part I’d say this would be 5/5 ram. Paired with my 5900x and a Asus Dark Hero S board it ran at full speed at proper timing’s off the hop and has been rock solid.
The problem I have is that every few months one of the sticks RGB will lock up and the only solution is to shut the pc off, then remove and re-seat the ram (Just re-booting wont fix it). Then it’ll be fine until the next instance. This is a fairly minor thing for me personally other than my OCD needing to fix it “RIGHT NOW”. But for anyone that has a Liquid Cooled system this could be a way bigger issue if you have to unhook a hardline tube just to re-seat some ram. Not to mention that while removing the ram theirs a chance (mines like 50/50) that the white light diffuser cap will pop off then you’ll have to pop that back into place before you put it back in the system.
