Been running a 16GB(2 x 8GB) kit of Team Xtreem LV DDR3 2400 with similar timings to this in my 4770K/Z97 rig for a long time. It’s getting long in the tooth, but still doing the job with gusto. Hardware has definitely evolved since it was new but it’s still a quite potent PC. I figured a few end of life upgrades for its last few years wouldn’t hurt. I often get close to filling my memory, though never quite get there. However, I don’t like my cushion getting thin. It causes all sorts of issues.
Considering that DDR3 is totally obsolete now, it’s getting exceptionally hard to find high performance kits, especially with 8GB modules. I did find some matching kits to my 2 x 8GB Team Xtreem LV on some auction sites, but could never enter my info fast enough to catch the sale. Seems a lot of people are snapping up the good memory for their own ancient DDR3 builds. Haha respect bros. So I settled on the more practical idea of finding an 8GB kit with 4GB modules. This was basically the only thing with even a little availability.
All that said, adding this kit to my existing one did the job. Both memory pairs offer similar timings and sub-timings, and run great with the Team memory’s built-in 4-stick profile. The Team Xtreem, being 8GB modules, uses slightly looser timings than this G.Skill kit, and the 4-stick profile is even looser. So not a lot is being asked of this RAM and it’s happy to follow the leader. I just set it, and it runs perfectly stable. I expected to have to do a bit of manual tweaking but I seem to have gotten lucky. My rig is happy with 24GB of RAM, and I have one less thing to think about upgrading. The amount seems to be ample for me. Because I’ve trained myself to work with 16GB the extra 50% capacity feels huge.
This memory does what it says on the box, despite its age, and seemingly plays well with my other memory. It’s a nice finishing touch on my old girl. The price at the time I bought it was fine. I was just happy it was available.

un par de memorias ddr3 de 4gb cada uno que funcionan desde 1600 a 2400 con unas buenas latencias, garantia de por vida y un precio muy ajustado. El disipador tiene un diseño muy agresivo y son mas altas de lo habitual, pero si no lo necesitais la parte de arriba se puede retirar para usarlas en sitios que requieran espacio limitado. La configuracion a 2400 es automatica seleccionandola en la bios si vuestra placa es compatible con dicha opcion, nada que ver con el overclock manual del pasado de andar probando.

Ich war nicht überrascht als ich das Paket mit den Arbeitsspeichern öffnete. Zwei Speicherriegel mit extrem grossen Kühlkörpern waren zu sehen. Vorsorglich hatte ich zwei grosse Lüfter bestellt, im Gedanken was mich bei der Neukonstruktion meines Rechners erwarten würde. So konnte ich verhindern das die Kühlkörper,von der APU und der des Arbeitsspeichers, kollidieren.Eingebaut und los ging es. Speicher wurde sofort erkannt, und richtig getaktet. In sachen Leistung ist er sehr zügig unterwegs,und auch die Übertaktung lief reibungslos.Ich weis das viele User grosse Fans von Zahlen bei ihrer Rezension sind, was etlichen Usern nicht weiterhilft und die Rezension deshalb nicht gelesen wird. Tipps für die Anschaffung dieses Arbeitsspeicher : Grosser Lüfter z.B.: Scythe “Grand Kama Cross 2” ( SCKC – 3000 ), Kühlkörper steht beginnt knapp fünf Zentimeter über der APU Die Speicher liessen sich bequem einbauen, bei eingebautem Lüfter.
